ABOUT THE EVENT
THE MARATHON READING OF THE ADVENTURES OF MAO ON THE LONG MARCH BY FREDERIC TUTEN
This five-hour reading marked the 40th anniversary of the publication of Frederic Tuten’s groundbreaking novel.
The Adventures of Mao on the Long March Marathon Reading brought together some of America’s most notable writers, poets, artists and filmmakers. The event had a fluid structure, similar to the famous readings of Joyce and Melville, where people come and go at their own leisure.
